What is WEEE?
• The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations is a UK legislation designed to address the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
• The regulations have been put in place to ensure that products are recycled using best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques to ensure human health and high environmental protection.
• Both CMC and our customers can assist in recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment.
How do I know if my product is covered?
• If the symbol shown below is found on any of your goods, it means that the product is covered by the WEEE Regulations.
How do I recycle my old products?
• You can return waste electrical equipment to CMC Aquatics only when you are purchasing a new product from us under our WEEE obligations. The return has to be like for like e.g. a pond pump for a pond pump, not a ultra violet clarifier or filtration unit.
• Please contact us before returning your WEEE product or inform us at the point of sale that you wish to send a WEEE product.
• The customer must return the WEEE product at their own cost.
• We will then deal with the waste product in an environmentally responsible manner.
