An outbreak of ulcer disease in a pond may be due to infection with several different species of bacteria.
Most Commonly, the primary agent in an Outbreak of ulcers is atypical Aeromonas salmonicida, a species of bacteria that is a true fish pathogen, infecting the skin and initiating an ulcer.
Once the skin has been breached by the atypical A. salmonicida. The lesion is rapidly colonized by Aeromonas hydrophila, a related but ubiquitous species found in every aquatic environment. In most instances,

- Absolute Aqua-Vet Recovery+ Is a gentle but powerful medication to help weakened fish to recover from secondary infections resulting from poor water conditions or as a result of parasite attack.Absolute Recovery aids in the prevention & spread of bacterial, fungal infections. This medication will work on open wounds resulting from trauma.
- Can be used at low Temperatures unlike a lot of other medications when the fishes immune systems are very slow and impaired.
- Absolute Aqua-Vet Recovery+ will turn the water a vivid yellow colour this will dissipate and clear after a day or so.
Recommended Dosage:
- Turn off Ultraviolet sterilisers shake bag to decompact medication before Measuring.
- Add 10g per 100gal (454L) water.
- Add correct amount to a watering can with 2L of clean water and spread evenly across the surface of the water. Be careful not to overdose as this can prove fatal to your fish. Repeat treatment every 7 days following a 20% water change. Until the fish heal and are back to health.
- Turn Ultraviolet sterilisers back on 7 days after the last treatment.
- When using with river type species such as Orfe, Rudd & Sturgeon ensure extra oxygen is provided. Always wear protective gloves when handling chemicals.
- Do Not Overdose or use any other treatments for 7 days after use.
