Returns Policy

Product returns can be made HERE

1. Item can be returned in its original condition (unused and in original packaging) for a full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt. Please note that cut to length, made to measure and special made to order products can't be returned.

2. Refund policyIf you are eligible for a return refund, we will refund you back to the payment method you used when you originally paid for your order. Please note: It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your card details i.e. you no longer have that account. Refunds can take up to 7 days to process. Items that are not collected from store will be refunded after 14 days.

3. WarrantyFaulty goods can be reported by telephone or use the returns page form or email customerservice@cmcaquatics.co.ukAll new goods supplied by CMC Aquatics have a warranty period from the date the goods were purchased (unless otherwise). This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If new goods develop a defect during the warranty period, you should contact us by the returns form or by email. Please note that the warranty does not apply to ex-display items or cover you for any defects in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than in accordance with its intended use, failure to follow the manufacturers or suppliers instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without CMC Aquatics prior written approval. The manufacturers warranty period runs from the date of the original purchase of the goods. Any costs incurred to obtain warranty repair/replacement is the consumers responsibility, including postage/shipping and handling, travel expense, lost time, or pickup and delivery. Any items returned that are not deemed to be a warranty claim will be returned at the cost to the customer.

3.1 Faulty ProductIf you receive goods that are faulty on arrival you must notify us within 30 days of receipt of the item by the returns page or by email. If the goods are less than 30 days old you have the option of a refund or direct replacement. If the goods are over 30 days old we will test the product for the fault. (In some cases manufacturers provide specialist telephone help lines for your convenience which we recommend you use in order to correct the fault quickly.)If the fault is verified we will:

  • 1.Try to repair the item
  • 2.If we are unable to repair we will replace with the same item
  • 3.If we are unable to replace we will issue a refund. If the goods you have returned are not found faulty the goods will be returned to you at your cost.
  • 4.Any goods or replacement that we have sent/delivered and we have requested the need for the old unit to be returned or collected failure of the customer to return or allow collection will result in the customer being charged for the goods or replacement that has been sent.

3.2 Products Dead On ArrivalIn the unlikely event of you receiving goods that do not work upon arrival with you, you must notify us within 7 days by the returns page or by email. Once we have received the goods back at CMC Aquatics we will test the product for the fault. If the fault is verified we will either:

  • 1.Replace with the same item
  • 2.Refund in line with our refund policy.If the goods you have returned are not found faulty the goods will be returned to you at your cost.

3.3 Products Damaged On ArrivalIn the unlikely event of you receiving a damaged product you should notify us by returns page or by email within 7 days. You may be asked to provided a picture of the damage or we will arrange collection of the product. Damaged products will be:1.Replace with the same item2.Refund in line with our refund policyIf the returned goods are not found faulty/damaged the goods will be returned to you at your cost.

3.4 Wrong Item DeliveredIf, by mistake we supply you with the incorrect item you must notify us within 7 days by the returns page or by email. Once we have received the goods back at CMC Aquatics we will confirm that it is in fact an incorrect item and either:

  • 1.Replace with the correct item
  • 2.Refund in line with our refund policy

3.5 Extra Items DeliveredIf, by mistake we supply you with extra items you must notify us immediately. Goods should be returned to us. If you do not adhere to this procedure and are found to be in possession of goods that you have not paid for, you will be charged for the goods.

3.6 Returning Faulty Product If you’re returning something to us it’s important that it is packaged correctly so that it does not get damaged during transit. We therefore suggest that you package the item in its original packaging (assuming that you have the packaging and it is still intact). Where it’s not possible to use the original packaging, please ensure that the goods are sufficiently packaged and cushioned to protect against any reasonable shocks, puncturing, scratching or damage that may occur during carriage, handing and/or sorting. Where we have agreed to collect the goods from you, then our appointed carrier shall be entitled to inspect the quantity, condition and the packaging.

4. Item not RequiredIf you wish to return an unwanted product in line with The Distance Selling Regulation you must notify us by the returns page or by email with in 30 days of receiving the product.

4.1 Returning unwanted goodsThe goods should be returned to us, you will be responsible for returning the goods to CMC Aquatics at your own cost. You will be credited for the goods within 7 days of CMC Aquatics receiving & inspecting the returned goods. Goods and packaging should be in as new condition. Proof of purchase and a cover note for the reason the item is being returned should be included with the return.
